Tokyo has been my home for almost ten years. During this time, I frequently traveled to Kyoto, the ancient capital, where I developed deep connections with artisans, gardeners, textile experts, woodworkers, and tanners. My passion for the arts naturally led me to the world of geisha, where I discovered a rich cultural heritage that deeply influenced my work.
Translated from English, “geisha” means “artist.” These wonderful women are masters of various traditional arts, including musical instruments, songs, dances, calligraphy, tea ceremonies and flower arrangements. It is with great pride and respect that I created my Gion oil perfume, personally gifting it to these icons of Japanese beauty, tradition and grace.
Gion Incense is the second fragrance in my series. It embodies the essence of Buddhist temple incense, crafted from the world’s finest natural materials: the serene warmth of sandalwood, the earthy depth of cedar, the soft elegance of iris oil and the mysterious charm of amber.
Together, these elements create a fragrance that reflects the spiritual and artistic soul of Gion.
